Fairy of Darkness

Hi Dearies....

Hope you guys are doing good!

I wanted to share a new work and especially the mood board which I truly loved working and this was very inspiring, hence played my turn of creating this lovely canvas.

Materials used:

8x8 Canvas, Prima Heavy Black jesso, Flourish Stencil  - Newly launched by The Craft shop India, Thick Foam - unevenly cut, Laces, Pearls, Handmade Angels, Lindy's Black EP, Prima - Alchemy Turquoise blue, OldSilver, Velvet blue, Prima - Unicorn Sparks, WendyVicchi - Crackle paste, Hexagon black transparent glitter, Black micro fine Glitter, Fussy cut flowers from Papericious - Love affair paper pack,  DustyAttic - Chippies, Resin Wings, Pink n White feathers.

I have used thick foam unevenly cut on the edges, stuck few laces randomly, pearls and applied heavy gesso, after it dried applied cackle paste and allowed to dry. Layered the focal pic with Prima Rose Quartz collection and flowers from Paperiocious Love Affair paper collection. Played with waxes......awww looks like these waxes were made only to play on such work and love the way the whole LO turned out! Dry brushed with Unicorn sparks and Waxes.  Finally used glitters and sparkles.

The focal pic I used here is a painting from an unknown artist which I had saved since I liked the appeal of the pic and its truly lovely to see in eye....but since I saved it as pic ....I was wanting to use this lovely artists work on one of my projects and our gals at Mixed media came up with such an appealing mood board that I could not resist using this image for my art work too.....!! I truly by heart appreciate the painting done by this artist!!

Vintage Garden

Hi Dearies.....

Today I share a shadow box vintage style. This is my work for DT call with Scrap and Pieces Blog. I have used Maggie Holmes honey bee stencil for texture work with Prima Heav White Gesso, applied Orange Archival ink around the box and inside.  I have done 3D work inside with the girl's pic layered with double sided tape and chippie. Made paper folded books and tied with  satin ribbon, sentiment printed, spellbinder diecut rose, small flower fillers die cut and inked with archival blue ink, mulberry rose leaves, pearls and micro balls for embellishing.

Tri Colour Madness

Hi Dearies

Today I share with you a LO which I worked on for Canvas Corp Brands Challenge. The challenge was to use the colours in our Country Flag.  So here is my take on the same.

Image result for national flag of india

I want to mention the significance of the three colors in our Country's Flag - Saffron - represents Courage and Sacrifice, White - represents Peace and Truth, Green- represents Faith and Chivalry. The center circle with 24 spokes is the Ashoka chakra which is the wheel of the Law of Dharma.

I have tried to incorporate everything in my LO with the embellishments.  I have used DCWV CS for the LO.  I used Prima White Heavy Gesso with The Craft Treat Stencil which is newly launched and worked on the texture. For color spray used Itsy Bitsy Colour Splash and green acrylic for splashes. Papericious newly launched Dream catcher was my embellishment for the center Chakra and I embossed it with Lindy's Bravarian Blue EP and adhered it. Papericious Leafy stems embossed with Lindy's Green EP, Peekaboo - Diecut leaves, Handmade paper roses, small angel chippie blowing the trumpet, used few flourish stamps and heat set with Ranger Gold EP, few pollen buds, micro beads and pearls, fussy cut butterflies and sentiment as the words I picked which represent my colors in the Flag.
